About Me

cropped-555109_10152605228215576_681845676_n.jpgI wasn’t born in Texas, but I did get here as fast as I could. Graduating in May 2013 from Texas Christian University, I will earn my undergrad in journalism with honors. My goal is to become a web producer or a social media manager.

Currently, I am an intern at WFAA-Channel 8 News in Dallas, TX. I work with their web team writing and editing stories for the web and covering stories with various reporters in the field. I am also the editor of the hyper-local news site, the109.org

Formerly, I interned with the Student Press Law Center through The Washington Center in Washington D.C. where I worked and took classes.  Summer 2012 I worked on the editorial staff at TCU 360, TCU’s online news source. You can read my article breaking the TCU quarterback drug test results here. I also worked as a conference resident assistant for the Housing and Residential Life Department at TCU.

Previously, I was the managing editor of TCU360, I was also an associate editor for TCU 360 and a staff writer as well as an opinion writer for the TCU Daily Skiff, the campus newspaper. I am also a student instructor for Jon D. Williams Cotillion.

When I’m not working, I’m attending baseball games, working out, searching for glittery shoes and updating my twitter.
